These parts are on special because they were a preliminary design. This design included a raised area on the casting that could be used for a cable support clip.
On some vehicles there is a brake line cable that is held inplace at the top of the differential cover. The design did not work out. The raised area need not be used.
Since these parts were a preliminary design the casting finish is rougher than on a production part.
We have several of these available. The part that is pictured and is representative of all the parts on special.

This special should fit and function like a regular part.
