These PML valve covers are standard perimeter mount covers for pre-1986 small block Chevy engines. The classic CORVETTE script and 7 fins are cast into the cover and are raised. On powder coated parts, the powder coat is shaved off the top of the script and the fins. These valve covers feature cast-in baffling and a mid-height design that will clear most roller and/or ratio rockers.

Optional PCV, Breather, and Oil Fill Holes

PML small block valve covers are made without holes for PCV, oil fill or breathers.

For engines that require PCV, oil fill or breather on the valve cover, PML designed the casting to be thicker on the intake manifold side below the C where an internal baffle is located. This area can machined with a hole. PML has a machine shop and can machine holes for $40 per hole.

PML Small Block Valve Covers on Edelbrock Performer RPM Cylinder Heads

PML Small Block Chevy valve covers can work with Edelbrock Performer RPM kits. However, the baffle on the PML valve covers will hit the pins unless the baffle is reduced in size. PML can machine the baffle to reduce the size if needed. For the Performer RPM, the distance between the pins is 1.16 inches. Out of the box our baffle is 1.2 inches. The cylinder head is number 6089. The PML valve cover shown is our 25th anniversary edition but the same information applies to all PML small block chevy perimeter mount valve covers.

PML Corvette® valve covers installed on a 1933 Ford 3-Window Coupe. We spotted this at the Grand National Roadster Show in January of 2011. Built by Roy Brizio Street Rods, San Francisco, CA.
