PML designed this transmission pan for Frontier, Pathfinder, Xterra, Cars, and Trucks with Skid Plates. This heavy duty transmission oil pan fits the Nissan RE5R05A 5 speed transmission.
Benefits:
- Extra capacity
- Clears frame cross members on Frontier, Pathfinder, Xterra and similar vehicles
- Ground clearance for most cars, trucks and SUVs, only 1 inch deeper than stock pan
- Skid plate clearance with overall height of 2.8 inches (enough for many skid plates)
- Finned for heat dissipation
- Heavy duty constructions for thick walls and gasket flanges to provide a secure seal
- Drain hole and magnetic drain plug
Depth is about 2.8 inches. Stock pan is about 1.8 inches. Always check your vehicle to verify transmission and clearance as PML does have a restocking fee.
Replaces PML Part Number 11091: This PML transmission pan replaces PML part number 11091.
2013/2014 version: A first revision of this transmission pan had slants on the front and rear and was 4.1 inches deep.

Around 2019 Nissan transitioned to new 9 speed transmission, PML product in development/Under Consideration, Part Number 11188 - Pathfinder, 2004 to 2012, with V8 5.6 or V6 4.0
- Xterra, 2005 to 2015
- Suzuki Equator, 2009 to 2012, may also be able to use this pan
- Titan trucks and Infinit QX56 SUVs with the Nissan RE5R0RA transmission needing clearance to the ground or skid plate
- Cars such as 350Z, G35, and G37 (2007 models) with the Nissan RE5R0RA transmission needing clearance to the ground
Always check your vehicle to verify transmission and clearance as PML does have a restocking fee.
Vehicle configurations and so there can be options for transmissions and clearance.
Skid Plates: We cannot guarantee that this pan will fit. Many skid plates are available. The amount of ground clearance varies depending on the vehicle. There is a restocking fee for returns. See Installations section for examples and pictures of this pan with skid plates.
We have a deep pan for the Nissan RE5R05A transmission, Part Number 11037, that is 3.5 quarts over stock.

2016 Nissan Frontier V6 4.0L
Carlos installed this pan on his 2016 Frontier Crew Cab SV V6 4.0L truck. The installation was straightforward, no issues. He added almost two additional quarts of fluid. Watch a video of the installation:

2014 Xterra Pro 4x P&P Engineering Skid Plate
Lester installed this PML transmission pan on his 2014 Xterra. Our thanks to Lester for the pictures and feedback. He had these comments on the installation:
The installation of the pan was straight forward, took out the 22 bolts that attach the oem pan. Didn't need any special tools. The hardware that you guys provided I just used a regular allen wrench attached to my 3/8" socket driver. The pan cleared my aftermarket skid plate, which made by P&P Engineering. I also installed a glow shift tranny gauge so I could monitor the temp. during my offroad trips.

2014 Frontier SV V6 4x4 Hefty Fab Skid Plate
Tyler installed this PML pan on his 2014 Frontier with his full set of Hefty Fabworks Aluminum skids and Whiteknuckle sliders. He added 6 quarts of fluid total, which is 1 1/2 quarts more than stock. There is plenty of clearance between the PML pan and the skid plate, as shown in his pictures. Our thanks to Tyler for choosing a PML pan for his Frontier.

2006 Frontier Nismo Shrockworks Skid Plate
Cody installed this PML transmission oil pan on his Frontier. He has a Shrockworks skid plate, which cleared the PML pan but doesn't fit his truck quite right yet. Cody also helped us with the design of the pan by providing dimensions to the frame and available clearances. Our thanks to Cody to working with us.

Filter
This PML transmission pan works with the OEM filter. The Nissan filter on the RE5R05A is a screen, and it bolts on to the valve body of the transmission so no filter supports or extensions are needed.
Gasket
This transmission pan works with stock gaskets. Reference Nissan part number 3139790X0A (2007 and newer) or 3139790X00 (2003 to 2007). These are available from a local Nissan dealer or auto parts store.

Image shows the driver/left side of the pan where the drain is located. The drain is toward the front of the vehicle.
PML includes a magnetic drain plug and all mounting bolts with the pan.

This PML transmission pan ships with new mounting bolts with washers and a magnetic drain plug with copper sealing washer.

Optional Temperature Sending Unit Machining

Optionally, PML can drill and tap a 1/8 NPT hole for a temperature sending unit. This would be for an aftermarket temperature gage. There is a custom machining charge.
The pan has three locations that can be drilled. Two locations on the passenger/right side of the pan and one on the driver/right side of the pan. Select the option before adding pan to cart. A plug for the hole is included.The standard size is 1/8 NPT. Check your aftermarket gage to verify the thread specifications for the sending unit before ordering. Call or email if you need a different size.
