PML designed this pan specifically for the C5 Corvette.
This pan allows for adding transmission fluid through the pan as required by 4L60 transmission in the C5 Corvette. The fill hole is on the driver's side. A plug is included with hardware.

The fins on the bottom of the pan and the extra capacity assist with cooling the fluid. Cooler running temperatures reduces wear and tear on the transmission.

Generally, this pan can be installed on these vehicles:
- 1997 to 2004 C5 Corvette
- Some 2005 C6 Corvettes with 4l60E transmission
2005 C6 Corvette: This pan may not work. There may be a clearance issue with the cradle.
2002 C5 Corvette Coupe with 5.7L LS1

2000 C5 Corvette
These pictures show this pan installed on a 2000 C5 Corvette. The PML pan bolts on in place of the stock pan.
There is still ground clearance with the larger PML pan installed.
PML designed this pan to work with the stock filter for the C5 Corvette 4L60E transmission. The pan has cast-in filter supports so no filter extension is needed.

Drain and Fill
The fill/level check and drain holes are on the driver's side.
The fill hole functions the same way as on the stock pan.
A magnetic drain plug, fill plug and new mounting bolts are included with each pan.
Filter Supports, Temperature Sending Unit Locations, Inside of Pan

To avoid problems with filter extensions, PML cast filter supports into the bottom of the pan. See the section on filters.
On the passenger's side, the pan has a location that can be machined for an aftermarket temperature sending unit.
The standard size is 1/8 NPT. If another size is needed, please call or email.
Optionally, this pan can be machined for a temperature sending unit.
If you would like PML to drill and tap hole, the machining charge is per hole. A plug for the hole is included.
This pan has three locations cast into the pan that can be machined, one on the driver's side and two on the passenger's side.
The default size is 1/8 NPT. Call or email if you need a different size.
Shift Cable Bracket
You may have to modify your shift cable mounting bracket to use this pan. If the trans pan mounting bolts hold the shift cable bracket on, please reference this article from Vette magazine for details.
This Corvette transmission pan works with inexpensive stock gaskets, such as those made of cork or a rubber cork compound. The gasket flange is machined flat for a secure seal.
