This set is on special because of cosmetic blemishes. These are the main issues.
One cover has a ridge from the casting process near the I in BUICK.
The other cover has dark spots on the back and a discoloration that is almost as long as the cover. These are near the top on the intake manifold side. Also, one fin has a porosity pit.
A gasket is available: Nailhead valve cover gaskets.
These valve covers can be machined for PCV, oil fill, and breather hoels for an additional charge. This optional machining must be ordered over the phone. Reference this PDF document for more information.
For reference, see our regular BUICK Nailhead V8, Fins And Vintage Script, PML Part Number 11080-2.
Porosity are small pits or holes from little air pockets formed in the casting that were exposed during polishing.
This special should fit and function like a regular part.
This is sold as-is and cannot be returned.
