PML discontinued the polish finish for our Buick Nailhead oil pans. So this pan is on special. It is the last one. PML is continuing to manufacture and sell the oil pan but only in the natural cast finish.
This part has some porosity (small pin holes) on the sides near the fins and some marks near the bolt holes. These are normal when a sand cast part is polished.
PML pans and covers are sand cast aluminum and heavy duty. Sand cast aluminum parts have the texture of sand. Polishing a sand cast aluminum part does not result in a perfect finish and it will not look like a chrome finish. The area between the fins is not polished. New mounting bolts and a magnetic drain plug are included.
A gasket is available. Call to order if you want a gasket.
