These valve covers are on special for cosmetic blemishes.
First, the castings do not have the same coloring. This is a normal deviation in the metal and sand casting process. These covers can be painted or powder coated. Both of these covers also have cosmetic blemishes.
One cover has has been machined for a PCV or breather hole. It has a push-in breather in the hole. It rougher than normal surface texture near the fins and some of the letters are not formed correctly, such as the v and the t. There is a slight dip near the C and the fins on that end.
The other cover has a wave or dip along the top. From the Ch to the end of the cover is 0.060 to 0.100 inches lower than the rest of the top of the cover. There is also a small ding on the a fin at the other end of the cover.

New mounting bolts are included.
These valve covers are sand cast aluminum and have the texture of sand with some porosity. This is normal. An example of an area with porosity is below.
A hole can be machined for PCV, breather and oil fill in the other cover. There would be a machining charge for this and it must be ordered over the phone. Link for PDF on PCV and breather holes.
