This is a new differential design from GM. Ring gear is probably 8.6 to 8.9 inches.
The classic GM 10 bolt 8.5, 8.6 inch ring gear differential cover found on 1970s to 2021 cars, trucks and SUVs, has a different shape and bolt hole pattern although it looks very similar to this one. See PML part number 6082 for an example of the older GM 10 bolt differential.

2024 Canyon AT4X
Our thanks to Steve for working with us on this differential cover. These pictures are from his test installation. PML updated the design to improve fitment based on Steve's feedback. He installed this cover on his 2024 GMC Canyon AT4X 4WD truck with locking front and rear differentials.

Gasket
PML designed this cover to work with the factory OEM gasket. The GM AC Delco part number is 8572-1785.

Drain, Fill/Level Check/and Optional 1/8 NPT
The fill/level check is at the same location as with stock cover for accurate fluid level. The drain is on the bottom so all the fluid comes out allowing the differential to be serviced without removing the cover. Optionally, PML can drill and tap a 1/8 NPT hole for a temperature sending unit. This would be for an aftermarket temperature gage. There is a custom machining charge.
