    •

These valve covers are on special because of blemishes. This set does NOT have a brake booster relief.

One cover has about 10 dark spots that were revealed during polishing. Most are on the exhaust side in the smooth area and are about 1/2 inch diameter. There are also some discolorations in the rough area near the script. These are cosmetic.

The other cover is on special because the countersink for the bolt holes is too large. The normal countersink is 0.100 to 0.150 inches. On this cover, the countersink is 0.250 inches. Use care when installing so the bolts do not bottom out. This cover also has some porosity on the flange, which is cosmetic.

A cork composite gasket is recommended and available from PML: Big Block Chevy Valve Cover Gaskets

For reference, see our regular Chevy Big Block, 396, 427, 454, 502, CORVETTE Script, Polish, PML Part Number 9096.

This special should fit and function like a regular part.

This is sold as-is and cannot be returned.
