This transmission pan is on special because we no longer make pans in the polish finish.
This pan cannot be machined for a temperature sending unit. This is an early version of this PML transmission pan and it did not include a thick area for drilling and tapping a 1/8 NPT. This pan includes a magnetic drain plug and new mounting bolts.
This part is in the polish finish. Polished sand cast aluminum parts are never perfect. Examples of the polish finish on this pan are pictured below. Read about the Finishes and Construction before ordering.

Drain area shows some small dots of porosity in the polish finish.
On newer versions of the PML pan, the casting is thicker to the left of the drain
for drilling and tapping a 1/8 NPT hole.
The corner between the side and flange is rough.
