PML designed these valve covers for the classic hot rods of the 1950s and 1960s with the 348 or 409 Chevy™ W block engine. The CHEVROLET script and fins are cast into the cover and raised for a classic look.
Benefits:
- Classic styling with CHEVROLET script and fins
- Heavy duty sand cast aluminum construction
- Thick walls provide strength
- Gasket flange will not bend or flex when bolts are tightened
- Licensed GM product
- Made in USA
The script and fins are cast into the covers and are raised. On powder coat finishes, the powder coating is brushed off the top so the lettering and fins stand out. On the polish finish, we do not polish between the fins and script to add contrast.
PML also makes 348, 409 valve covers without script or fins for engines needing a clean, unbranded design that can be customized.

PML fits each valve cover made on a 348 stock head during manufacturing. This verifies that the covers fit.
PML covers are heavy duty with thick walls and are larger than stock. Always check your configuration to make sure you have space for larger valve covers.

Fit on Cylinder Head
PML fits all valve covers on a cylinder head.
348, 409 cylinder heads have posts on the intake manifold side near the bolt holes. The height varies from head to head. Sometimes these posts have been machined off. PML valve covers have recessed areas for these posts. Rarely, a cylinder head will have posts that are large and do not fit in the recessed areas. We have only heard of this on a few 409 heads. The recessed area is 5/16 (0.31) inch below the flange surface.
