PML makes two covers for the GM 9.5 inch ring gear differential. Both fit the differential. This cover was design to provide maximum capacity without interferring with the spare tire. The other cover is PML part number 10303-2.
Benefits:
- 1 quart of extra fluid capacity
- Drain at the bottom (one bolt hole is removed to put the drain at the exact bottom), with magnetic drain plug, to simplify maintenance
- Custom fin design for great looks and heat dissipation
- 1/2" deeper than OEM cover and should clear most spare tires
- Sand cast aluminum construction for thick walls
- Machined gasket flange for a secure seal
- Includes new hardware: mounting bolts, fill plug and magnetic drain plug
These PML rear end differential covers fit the 14 bolt GM 9.5 inch rear differential. Some possible applications are:

Bolt Information
This cover bolts on using 13 of the 14 bolt holes. The bolt hole at the bottom of the cover was removed so that the drain could be centered on the part. This allows for complete draining of fluid. The is no problem with sealing or leaks since the PML cover is heavy duty and does not flex.
PML provides new mounting bolts with each cover. Since GM has used four different bolts for this differential, please specify when ordering which bolts are needed for your vehicle. See Guidelines for Bolt Sizes (click here), opens in new tab or window

Matching Front Cover for 4WD
For some vehicles with this rear differential, PML makes a matching differential cover for the front. See PML GM Front 8.5, 10 Bolt.
Gasket Information
PML recommends RTV or paper/fiber gaskets or cork composite gaskets.
PML machines the gasket surface of our differential covers flat. The flange surface of the differential housing is also machined flat. A thin bead of RTV silicon sealant makes an excellent seal between two machined surfaces.
