Number of Bolts: 22
Benefits:
- Extra capacity and fins for cooling
- Heavy duty, thick wall construction for strength
- Drain and magnetic drain plug to facilitate oil changes
- Internal baffles to reduce sloshing and help with heat dissipation out of fluid
- Easy, bolt-on installation
This pan is 2 ¼ inches deeper on the outside and 1 ½ inches deeper on the inside than a stock pan at its deepest point. Always check your vehicle to verify transmission and clearance before ordering.
Read on the Titan Talk forum about lower transmission fluid temperatures after installing a PML pan in the Titan performance modifications thread.
PML designed this PML transmission oil pan for the Nissan RE5R05A. Examples of vehicles that may be able to use this transmission pan:
- Titan, 2004 to 2015
- Armada, 2004 to 2015
- Navara, 2005 to 2015
- Some Infiniti SUVs
Always check the transmission and clearance before ordering. Vehicle configurations vary.
NV owners: NV Vans, 2012 to 2016, may be able to use this pan. We've heard that NV cargo and passenger vans are based on the TItan and have the RE5R05A transmission.
Other Nissan and Infiniti vehicles: other trucks, cars, and SUVs use the RE5R05A transmission and may be able to use this pan.
Needing More Clearance: PML also makes a less deep RE5R05A pan for trucks with skid plates, cars, Frontier and Nissan SUVs. The PML part number for that pan is 11101.
7 Speed RE7RO1A: See PML Part Number 11156.
Titan Trucks with Aisin Transmission: See PML part number 11142.
Our thanks to those who have emailed us pictures of their installations.

2008 Nissan
Amador installed this PML transmission pan on his 2008 Nissan Titan SE 5.6L.
PML machined the 1/8 NPT hole for the temperature sending unit per his request. He custom painted it black and installed the aftermarket temperature gage for monitor fluid temperatures in the pan. Most Titans have a built in gage for the transmission fluid temperature but that is not the temperature of the fluid when it is in the pan. Using two gages monitor temperatures when towing or hauling at the limit of the truck.

Nissan Navara is similar to the Frontier in the US. Pan has black powder coat finish and is machined for 1/8 NPT. Our thanks to Fizan for the pictures.
Filter and Gasket
The filter on the RE5R05A is a screen, and it bolts on to the valve body of the transmission so no filter supports or extensions are needed.
This transmission pan works with stock gaskets. These are usually about $25 from your local Nissan dealer. The Nissan part number 3139790X0A (2007 and newer) or 3139790X00 (2003 to 2007) for Titan trucks.
Included with PML Nissan 5 Speed Transmission Pan
PML includes a magnetic drain plug with copper sealing washer and new mounting bolts with each pan.

Temperature Sensor
This pan has a boss that can be machined and tapped for a temperature sending unit.
The standard Titan transmission temperature gauge usually included with the tow package works independent of the transmission pan and does not need the boss machined.
The boss on this pan can be machined for use with aftermarket sensors and gages. Optionally, PML can drill and tap the boss. There is a machining charge.
Internal Baffles, Inside of Pan
Inside of PML pan. Click on image to view larger.
PML designed this transmission pan with internal baffles. The baffles help direct oil flow to keep oil at the filter inlet, prevent sloshing, and aid heat transfer from oil to pan.
