PML designed this differential cover for Dakota, Durango and Jeeps, such as Liberty, with the Chrysler Corporate 8 1/4 inch ring gear, 10 bolt rear differential.

Applications

This PML cover fits the rear Dodge Corporate 8.25 inch ring gear differential. Here are some examples of vehicles this PML cover may fit:

1991-2001 Jeep XJ Cherokee & Wagoneer (also see Dana 35 cover)
Jeep Liberty (2008 and newer may have pan hard bar too close to stock cover to allow for a larger heavy duty cover)
1990-current Dodge Dakota (also see Corporate 9.25 cover, count your bolts to see which differential you have)
1990-2004 Dodge Durango (also see Corporate 9.25 cover, count your bolts to see which differential you have)
Chrysler Fifth Avenue, Imperial, and New Yorker
Dodge Nitro (may have C213R/C213RE which is similar and may have a sway bar so check carefully)

Configurations vary. Always check your vehicle to verify differential and look for clearance for a larger cover before ordering.

Liberty Owners: If you have a Liberty with a gas tank skid plate, check carefully. It may be possible to loosen and shift skid plate to make additional space. This information is provided for reference and the installer is responsible for fitment.

2006 Jeep Libery CRD

This PML Rear Differential Cover was installed on a 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD 4x4 - 2.8liter diesel.

Specifications

Optional Machining for Temperature Sending Unit

This cover has an undrilled boss for an aftermarket temperature sensor sending unit. There is a machining charge for PML to drill and tap the hole.

Drain and Fill/Level Check

This cover has a fill/level check hole on the side at the same level as the stock cover.

A drain hole on the bottom makes for easier maintenance.

A plug for the fill/level check hole and a magnetic drain plug are included.

Skid Plates

Skid plates and guards can change the space available for a larger cover. Always check for clearance for a larger differential cover before ordering.

Liberty Owners: If you have a Liberty with a gas tank skid plate, this PML cover may or may not fit. Mike in Lousiana with a 2006 Liberty CRD installed an OEM fuel tank skid plate and emailed us to confirm that this PML cover clears the fuel tank skid plate for his installation. Another Liberty owner let us know he loosened and shifted the skid plate away from the differential cover to get more space. Configurations vary so check your vehicle.
