PML designed this pan for the Aisin AS69RC transmission. This PML pan has also been installed on the related Aisin AS66RC and A466ND transmissions. Installer must verify that this pan is appropriate for the specific vehicle configuration.
This pan may also fit Ram 6.4 Hemi engine trucks with the AS66RC. Check exhaust routing before ordering.
We have one of these pans on SPECIAL due to cosmetic blemishes: Special 408.
Video about this pan: New PML Aisin Transmission Pan.
Installation Note: On some vehicles, there cross member towards the rear of the vehicle that makes the bolts on the back end of the transmission pan difficult to access. Although PML designed this pan to provide as much clearance as possible to those bolts, it might be necessarily to jack up the transfer case to remove the stock pan and and install the PML pan. Several customers have recommended using a 5mm ball socket for the three rear bolts under the cross member.
Possible applications:
- 2013 and newer Ram 3500, 4500, 5500 trucks with the 6.7 Cummins high output diesel
- 2015 and newer Ram Cab & Chassis with 6.4L Hemi (Aisin is an option, other transmissions possible), check for exhaust clearance
- 2016 and newer Titan XD, diesel engine
We have had an installation on a 2024 Ram 2500 diesel truck and the exhaust was NOT routed under the transmission pan and the PML pan fit great. See INSTALLATIONS section for pictures of this installation.
Always check your truck to verify your configuration and clearance. Configurations vary and there is a restocking fee for returned parts.
Titan Owners: The 2016 to 2019 Nissan Titan XD diesel trucks have the Aisin A466ND transmission, which has the same stock pan and gasket and very similar filter. See pictures of an installlation of this pan on a Titan in the Installations section.
Ram 6.4 Hemi Owners: Some Ram trucks have the exhaust routed under the rear of transmission pan.
This may be specific to trucks with the Hemi engine.
Check for clearance before ordering. The picture below is from a 2021 Ram 3500 4x4 Chassis Cab 6.4 Hemi AS66RC transmission.
The exhaust crosses under the area where the PML pan slants and follows the profile of the OEM pan.
We do not know if the PML pan fit this truck.

2018 Ram 3500 6.7 Diesel Dually
Bob installed this PML AS69RC transmission pan on his 2017 Ram 3500 diesel dually. He needed to jack up on the back of the transfer case/universal joint to access the rear bolts. He was able to actually remove the stock pan rear bolts with a modified/ground down 10mm socket with a built-in universal joint. However, the Allen bolts supplied with the PML pan are longer due to the extra thickness of the pan edge and he needed more space. He reported that the PML pan is much stronger than the original and the PML pan is slightly lower but there should be no clearance issues with the deeper pan.

2016 Ram 5500 4x4
Rick installed this PML AS69RC transmission pan on his 2016 Ram 5500 box truck. The only hiccup with the installation happened when he went to his dealer and discovered that his truck would not fit on their lift. Other than that, the installation went well and the pan fit fine.

2015 Ram 3500 6.7 4x4 SRW
Eldon installed the PML AS69RC deep pan on his 2015 Ram 3500HD 4x4 Single Rear Wheel with the Cummins 6.7 diesel engine truck. He reported no interference with factory skid plate.
Here are the steps he followed: Removed 19mm stock drain plug. Removed 3 15mm transmission mount nuts with deep socket. Jacked transmission up via jack and wood shoring against transfer case, and removed rear bolts from stock pan with ¼" drive 10mm socket and wobble (10 mm socket with integral wobble would work better). Installed PML improved pan with extended reach 5mm ball end allen and torque wrench. Tightened 15 mm plug on new pan. Refill required an additional 4 quarts of fluid.

2014 Ram 3500 6.7 Megacab 4x4 Dually
Jeff installed the PML AS69RC deep pan on his 2014 Ram 3500HD Megacab 4x4 Dually with the Cummins 6.7 diesel engine. He noted that it probably is not possible to access the bolts at the rear of the either stock pan or the PML pan with out jacking up the transfer case and that it is so easy to jack up, he wouldn't even try.

2014 Ram 3500 6.7 4x4 SRW
Nate at Strictly Diesel installed our new pan on his 2014 Ram 3500HD 6.7 diesel 4x4 truck. Here are his comments from his installation:
- Had to remove all three cross member nuts and lift transmission up until it hit the floor board to access and remove bolts
- After using jack to raise up case and transmission, a socket and extension accessed the rear bolts
- Used a 5mm socket to gets bolts in the rear of PML pan, note swivel end on tool
- Plenty of room from PML pan to cross member with nuts installed
- After installation, the PML pan sits level with the engine oil pan
- Removed 8 quarts of oil, added 11
- Seeing 5 to 7 degree drop in temperatures
Overall, the installation went well. Our thanks to Nate for his feedback and pictures.

2013 Ram 3500 6.7 2WD Dually
Dave reported that the PML pan "Fit like a glove!". He had to use a ¼ drive 10mm socket and grind an old ¼ square phillips screwdriver to make a ball driver to remove the stock bolts under the cross member. Then to install the PML pan, he unbolted transmission mount and raised transmission up ½ inch. He let down the transmission and to tighten the bolts he used a long 5mm ball end allen with short end cut off with a ¼ drive 5mm socket and ratchet. Our thanks to Dave for his feedback and pictures.

PML located the drain plug on the driver's side of the pan. On the side of the pan, the drain plug is less likely to get damaged.
Optional Machining for Temperature Sending Unit
Optionally, this pan can be machined for a temperature sending unit.
If you would like PML to drill and tap hole, there is a machining charge. There are three possible locations. Select the option before clicking the ADD TO CART button. A plug for the hole is included. The standard size is 1/8 NPT. Call or email if you need a different size.
This pan has three locations that can be machined for a temperature sending unit:
- Front of pan
- Driver's side of pan toward the front of the pan
- Passenger's side of the pan, toward the rear of the pan
These locations are circular bosses that are thicker areas on the casting and are designed to be drilled and tapped.
